General travel information

Passports and visas
The passport must be valid for at least six months after the planned return date and it is your responsibility, as the traveler, to ensure that your passport meets these requirements. Regarding visas, we do provide the information that is relevant for each country, but it is your responsibility to pursue the appropriate application process as Explore Tours does not currently offer this specific service.
Flight
The prices of our tours include international scheduled flights and the domestic flights, as specified. The airport tax is not included in the tour price as they are constantly in flux because they are in the control of airline and government regulations. The price of the airline tax that you will pay is available on our website at the time of your booking. Most major airlines now use so-called "eTicket Receipt" that we either send via e-mail or print on paper and send to each traveler in a timely manner, prior to their departure. This is used at check-in and should be present throughout your travels.
Rates
Our ambition is to be as clear and transparent as possible about the price, but external factors such as major changes in currencies, a change of airlines, etc. can affect the pricing over time. The price that is quoted on our website at the time of your booking will be the price applied. Other price changes are governed by special conditions. The quoted price is always for a double room.
Additional information
There will be additional costs should you wish to book a single room or change from a family housing (at a home) to a hotel (if the possibility exists). More accurate and current information regarding each trip is available on our website. For many of our trips, we offer extensions for those travelers who want to prolong their stay. Prices for such modifications are available upon request.
Discounts for children/young people
With the majority of our trips we are able to offer discounts for children under the age of 12, at times, even extending it to those under 15 or 17 years. Please note that the terms and age limits vary with every trip and exact details can be given as you prepare to book your trip.
Insurance / cancellation insurance
Each traveler is responsible for having adequate insurance. If there is travel insurance within your home insurance, we highly recommend that you review the coverage or contact your provider to ensure you are fully covered. Explore Tours works with Gouda travel insurance should you need to complete your insurance coverage. Cancellation insurance is not included in the tour price. Therefore we recommend that you select one prior to booking your trip so that you are protected against the costs in the event of cancellation due to illness, for example.
Travel Guarantee
Explore Tours Travel Fair of Sweden AB has issued guarantees to Kammarkollegiet (the Administrative Services Agency) according to the law of travel guarantee (resegarantilagen). More information on travel warranty and guarantee laws can be obtained from Kammarkollegiet at 08-700 08 00.
Minimum number of travelers
Explore Tours reserves the right to cancel a trip if the number of travelers booked for a tour does not reach the trip minimum. If you have booked a trip with us and the trip cannot be realized due to too few travelers, we will inform you well in advance of your scheduled departure date. In any such case, you will receive a full refund.
Vaccinations
You are responsible for researching which vaccinations you may need for the destination(s) you will be visiting. We recommend that you contact your doctor or the local vaccination center for assistance and advice on the subject well in advance of your departure date.
Cultural Differences
Generally, a part of traveling is encountering and experiencing cultures one may not be familiar with or used to. This can include anything from food items and living standards to the manner in which others might respond to you. Because Explore Tours strives to provide you with a more immersive experience of the traditions and customs of the respective country, you may well experience a degree of "culture clash" during your trip. When this happens, it can be perceived as frustrating and even confusing, but afterwards it is often these situations and experiences that people find most rewarding and end up sharing upon their return. In our experience, an open mind will allow you a clearer picture of your surroundings. Remember, just because things are not as they are at home does not necessarily make them wrong, they are simply different.
Subject to changes
Explore Tours trips and programs are unique. This means that we cannot guarantee 100% that the original itinerary will be followed. Travelers must accept the itinerary as provisional until it is completed. Changes to your tour can be made due to weather conditions, the influence of the local government, changes in airline schedules and travel routes; even specified hotels or transport may need to be changed for some reason. Explore Tours reserves the right to make changes when appropriate, but we always strive to offer our travelers an equal, if not better, alternative.
